Charleston Day 2-The Battery & Fort Sumter

We headed to Battery Park and were amazed at the beauty around it. It's bordered by 2 rivers and beautiful homes across the street. In the afternoon we took a very relaxing 30min ferry boat ride to Fort Sumter. It was the place where The American Civil War began, when Confederates fired upon it. We did lots and lots of walking and the kids did surprisingly well, only have a few meltdowns toward the end of the day. Ethan even cooperated for me and posed for a few photos, and that rarely happens.
