Merry Christmas

We had a fun day celebrating Christmas this year. It is always great to be home and with family. Ethan really enjoys being with his cousins and grandparents. It will be hard to leave them all behind when it's time to go home. Here are a few pictures of Ethan taken a week before Christmas. Hope everyone had a great day. Merry Christmas!

Birthday Wishes

Today is my sisters B-day and for the occasion I decided to make her a cake. Ethan wanted to help also and as always I could not resist taking a picture. Here is Ethan mixing the batter. He loved it so much he would not let go of the whisk. Happy Birthday Auntie Gabby!

San Francisco

We took a family trip to San Francisco a couple of days after Thanksgiving. My dad took us to a place that we had never been called Crissy Field. Here are pictures of us walking toward the Golden Gate bridge with the city behind us. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day.

Post Surgery

Today Elisha had his appointment to get his bandages removed from his foot and a fiberglass cast put on. I really wanted him to get a cool color like hot pink but lucky for Elisha they don't allow it for active duty. He got what he wanted, he wouldn't have listened to me anyway. It worked out great just in time for us to fly home on Monday.

Yoda, A Jedi and Princess Leia

Pumpkins

A few nights ago we carved our pumpkins. We thought Ethan would really enjoy it since it was something new but he was not all that interested. He did however like looking inside it and putting his toys and sippy cup inside it.

Vote

Elisha and I are still California residents so the other day we received our absentee ballots in the mail, we sat down that night together and voted. I thought that was all the involvement I was going to have in this election, but a few days later I heard that John McCain would be here to speak. So earlier today we went to the Crown Coliseum and waited to see him. We got there at 2 and waited in line for an hour before getting in. McCain was not scheduled to speak until 5:30. The time spent there was well worth the wait. What an amazing experience it was to be in a coliseum with thousands of people sharing your same views and the chance to be in the same room as a Presidential Candidate. The energy was great. Cindy McCain was also there and spoke to us for a few minutes. After his wife and a few others spoke John McCain addressed us for about 30 minutes. He is a true hero and an honorable man who is well prepared to lead our country.

Pumpkin Patch NO. 2

On Saturday we went to another pumpkin patch. There weren't many people there which made it very nice and relaxing. We enjoyed walking around and seeing all the farm animals that were there. There was also a little kids play produce stand that Ethan had lots of fun playing in. All the pumpkins were already picked and displayed on hay bales, so that part was not as fun as the other pumpkin patch. Here are a few pictures from our day.

Disney On Ice

Yesterday we got a phone call from one of Elisha's friends from work letting us know that he had tickets to Disney on Ice and decided not to go. He wanted to know if we were interested in going. We went and Ethan enjoyed watching all the characters. The tickets were front row center stage and all the characters would come up to us and wave and some shook our hands. I'm glad we got to go it was lots of fun. The story line was about The Incredibles going on a vacation to Disneyland.
