We were able to get away for a few days to Charleston. I have wanted to go there since we moved here 6 years ago and I am glad we did. It is a beautiful city with lots of history. We spent the first day walking around downtown, visiting Waterfront Park, The Market and Rainbow Row. Ethan loves birds and had a great time running around chasing them. The homes were beautiful and very colorful. We had wonderful weather the entire trip, it was great!
We learned that when the Market was built it was known as the Slaves Market though no slaves were ever sold there. It was named that because the slaves worked there selling goods. We also found out that Charleston was know as the Holy City because of the many churches they had.
