Road Trip- Day 3-6

June 3-6

Day 3 we were in Boston, and we took the popular Duck Tour. It was lots of fun, Ethan kept referring to it as a roller coaster. Day 4 we were in Brunswick, Maine, but pictures of that are on my Mother-in-laws camera. Day 5 we were in Philadelphia, PA to see the Liberty Bell and then to Hershey, PA to eat chocolate! Day 6 Indianapolis, IN to see the Indy Speedway. As you can see we were able to see lots in a short time and most of the stops were right along the way kind of. Just glad we got to experience all that we did. I ended up with just over 1200 pictures of our entire trip.

Road Trip- Day 1-2 Palmyra, NY

June 1&2

The first stop on our 2 week road trip was Palmyra, NY. In the short time we were here we learned and saw a lot. It was truly an amazing experience to be in the same place where Joseph Smith had been. The Sacred Grove was as peaceful and beautiful as I imagined it, my camera died just after we entered it, I have a great family picture of us on my mother-in-laws camera but I haven't gotten them yet.

Moving Day

May 31, 2011 is the day we sold our home and left North Carolina, bound for Washington. It was the beginning of our very long road trip across the northern states. We have seen many friends leave NC before us and it is always sad saying goodbye it was no different when it was our turn to move. It was very difficult saying goodbye to our friends and what we have called home for the past 8 years. We look forward to our new adventures in WA.

Road trip pictures coming soon.

Woodlake Triathlon- May 28, 2011

On our last weekend in NC Elisha and a couple of his friends competed in a triathlon together. It is something he has always wanted to do so I'm glad he got the chance. It was also great to be there with friends to watch and cheer on our husbands!

Last family picture in North Carolina

This is way overdue, but posting anyway. Rebecca has done a great job with taking our pictures for the last few years and we always love them! For this photoshoot I wanted to remember the field by our home. Thanks for being patient with our kids who are difficult and don't want anything to do with the camera. We sure are going to miss having you as our photographer.

The Outer Banks April 8 & 9 2011

We were able to head to the Outer Banks for our Anniversary weekend, and yes we took our kids. It has been on my list of things to do in NC before we leave, and I am glad we all got to experience this as a family. We all had a great time and really enjoyed all there was to do.

Cape Hatteras Lighthouse

Bodie Island Lighthouse

Ocracoke Lighthouse

Wright Brothers Museum.

Jockeys Ridge Sand Dunes, you can't reallt tell from the picture but the dunes were pretty steep, Ethan had a blast going up and down, he couldn't stop laughing. It's the best feeling to see your kids having so much fun.
